Snehal Logistics Terms & Conditions

Standard Operating Terms: 2026 Edition

By engaging Snehal Logistics for road freight carriage, cargo pickup, delivery, or clearance facilitation, the consignor, consignee, and client agree to the standard terms outlined below.

1. Booking & Quotation Terms

All transport rates and quotations provided via our website, phone, or WhatsApp are based on the dimensions, weights, and cargo descriptions submitted at the time of inquiry:

  • Rates are subject to verification upon actual physical measurement, weighbridge slip, and volumetric assessment at loading.
  • Quotations include transit charges as specified, excluding unloading detention charges, statutory entry permits, or additional localized tolls unless expressly stated in writing.
  • All bookings require valid consignor authorization and mandatory transit documentation.

2. Consignor Responsibilities & Cargo Packaging

  • Packaging Standards: The consignor is responsible for ensuring that all goods are securely packed, palletized, crated, or bound to withstand customary road transit, highway vibrations, and handling.
  • Declaration of Cargo: The consignor must declare exact item descriptions, quantities, and correct commercial values on all accompanying documentation.
  • Prohibited Materials: Snehal Logistics strictly prohibits the transport of contraband, illegal substances, undeclared hazardous/explosive materials, or items prohibited under Indian law.

3. Transit Schedules & Delivery Timelines

Snehal Logistics operates daily scheduled services connecting Mumbai, Surat, and Ahmedabad. While we strive to meet targeted delivery hours:

  • Transit schedules are subject to force majeure, including severe weather, highway roadworks, border congestion, civic unrest, or government vehicle restrictions.
  • Snehal Logistics shall not be liable for indirect commercial penalties, loss of profit, or consequential delays arising from factors beyond reasonable operational control.

4. Insurance & Liability

  • Transit Insurance: Consignors are strongly advised to arrange adequate Marine / Transit Insurance covering the full invoice value of their cargo. Carriage is performed under the condition "Owner's Risk" unless transit insurance coverage is specifically arranged and confirmed in writing.
  • Inspection Upon Delivery: The consignee must inspect packages at the time of delivery before signing the Proof of Delivery (POD). Any visible physical damage or shortage must be endorsed on the delivery copy immediately.

5. Payment Terms & Demurrage

Payment terms shall be as agreed in the freight contract (To-Pay, Paid, or Account billing for verified corporate consignors):

  • Vehicles kept waiting beyond agreed loading/unloading free-time allowances will attract standard detention charges per calendar day.
  • Snehal Logistics holds a statutory lien on transported goods for unpaid freight dues and associated storage costs until settlement.

6. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

All agreements and disputes relating to transport and clearance services rendered by Snehal Logistics shall be governed by the laws of India and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Navi Mumbai / Mumbai, Maharashtra.
